Privacy Policy — BedBankGlobal Contract Digester

This policy covers the BedBankGlobal Contract Digester browser extension ("the Extension"), an internal tool for BedBankGlobal staff and authorized partners that extracts data from hotel contract documents and enters it into BedBankGlobal's WebBeds extranet pages.

Who this applies to

The Extension is distributed for use by BedBankGlobal personnel and authorized partners only. It is not intended for use by the general public and is not used to collect data from BedBankGlobal's end customers (travel sellers, hotels, or travelers).

What the Extension accesses and stores

Authentication. The Extension requires an API key to communicate with BedBankGlobal's backend. This key is entered by the user and stored using the browser's session storage for the duration of the browser session only; it is not persisted after the browser session ends and is not shared with any party other than BedBankGlobal's own backend, to which it is sent for authentication on every request.

Contract documents. Files the user uploads (hotel contract documents) are sent to BedBankGlobal's own backend API for automated extraction. The backend returns structured data (rates, room types, allotments, policies) back to the Extension.

WebBeds page content. When the user reviews extracted data and chooses to apply it, the Extension reads the structure of the active WebBeds Quick Update page (limited to central.webbeds.com, extranet.webbeds.com, and wb-central-composite.webbeds.com) and writes the extracted values into that page's form fields. This happens only on the tab the user is actively working in, and only when the user initiates the action.

Local caching. To avoid repeated lookups, the Extension caches WebBeds room type and rate plan mappings the user has already resolved, stored locally in the browser. This cache contains hotel/room reference data, not personal data about individuals.

What the Extension does not do

• It does not collect personal information about end travelers, hotel guests, or the public.
• It does not sell or transfer data to third parties.
• It does not use data for purposes unrelated to contract data extraction and entry.
• It does not use data to determine creditworthiness or for lending decisions.
• It does not execute remotely fetched code; all scripts are bundled with the Extension package.

Data retention

Data handled by the Extension is retained only as long as needed to provide the extraction and contract-entry service, and is not kept for any purpose beyond that.
